I was visiting LA from out of town and this milonga doesn't provide any seating unless you reserve a table. So they already establish an in crowd and anyone else just has to stand back where the food is. This is an unfriendly feature of this place. I noticed that a lot of the leads first step is backwards which given the tight space makes the dancing very uncomfortable to navigate. In addition, when I asked about another milonga out of curiosity I was told that I shouldn't go to that one, but I should go to one that was sponsored on Sunday evening in the Argentine Club. This was tremendously rude. By the way, no one asked me to dance and it was very hard to get any dances at all. This was a very clicky crowd, really.
